In honor of April Fool’s Day, I’m posting a response to a very foolish question from twitter:
LynzB30: You cloth diaper him too? Are you some sort of saint?!?!?
If I’m a saint, I’m totally reconsidering this whole religion thing. And if I’m a saint I think that means I get to make some religious rules? Like when you’re playing Kings and you pick up an 8 and that means make a rule. And usually my rules are like, every time you blink I get to punch you in the gut. So my religious rules would involve candy, dvr and free online shopping thursdays. SAINT.
But really, this post is about cloth diapering and why it doesn’t take a saint to do it. Since I’m an unorganized dirt ball and I manage to make it happen, pretty much anyone can. I wanted to cloth diaper to 1) save money 2) save baby penguins and 3) save butts. Regular diapers are SPENSIVE and when we were using like 15 a day in the beginning, I knew that wasn’t going to fly. I also hated producing so much trash. AND baby G was getting diaper rashes. So we became a cloth family as soon as G could fit into them and we haven’t looked back.
We use Bum Genius…the adjustable ones that change as he grows. They are seriously amazing. They don’t leak even when G explodes up his back (side note: B was actually concerned that G had a reverse asshole *seriously*). They are comfortable for him and he never has a diaper rash. The pediatrician always remarks at what a fine skin area he has around his butt. Ultimate compliment for anyone really.
Here’s how it works. We have 20 and I go through about 10 a day. Mid day I throw them in the washing machine. They do have to have a hot cycle, cold cycle and an extra rinse. By the time B gets home he throws them in the dryer and assembles them for the next day. There is a terry cloth insert that sits inside a pocket to absorb the poo and pee. If we have a serious poo diaper, we have a sprayer that hooks onto the toilet to rinse off the poo. But this isn’t really necessary until he starts solids. Then look out toilet…and noses.
They are big. I will give you that. He has to wear like 12 month clothes to fit the diapers. But that’s a small price to pay for the baby penguins and my wallet. We do keep a supply of regular diapers around for travel and stuff….but I seriously hate using them. It seems weird to put paper on my baby now. Not that I judge….I know this takes commitment.
Now you may be asking, that’s a lot of washing and drying, could my washer handle that? Answer: probably not. And then you know what happens? Your husband has to buy you a new washer and dryer. And it has to be a good one. And you’ll win that fight in the middle of Best Buy, because you are the mom. And you are saving the world. And your husband can’t argue about it.
And then you’re like, well I guess the cost of diapers every day is probably pretty comparable to the cost of a new washer and dryer. But then you remember that you got a new washer and dryer instead of a bunch of dead baby penguins. Everyone wins.
Cloth diapering isn’t what it used to be. They are super fitting, waterproof, easy to wash, easy to store little bundles of joy. I encourage everyone to give it a go. It’s easier than you think and you feel like a saint.
Before you get all crazy on me…G is wearing an amber teething anklet. HIPPIE TO THE MAX. Google for further information. I don’t have it in me to tell you about it right now. Maybe when I don’t have puke all over me and I’ve slept for 14 minutes.
Go cloth.
The internet psychic says you would like this too:

Hi I’m MODG. But you can call me MODG. You say it like Modg, like a Grandma name. Not like M.O.D.G. That’s a lot of syllables and I don’t have that kind of time.

I can’t tell you how happy this post made me! I’m due July 16th and planning to cloth diaper and everyone thinks I’m crazy! Or at least slowly making a transition to not shaving and living in a tent.
It’s great to hear that someone like you (and by that, I mean awesome) is also on board with this!
Love Baby G’s dresser and changing table. I am super excited you posted about this. I’m 18 weeks and my husband and I are thinking about doing cloth diapers. Totally worth it if I get a new washer/dryer haha! Have a good day
We’ve been using the same BumGenius dipes since our guy was about 4 weeks old and we haven’t looked back either. The thing that got me was the actual weight of the trash bag when it was full of disposables. It was so heavy for a few days worth of baby pee and poop. Gross. Maybe some will say that it is more gross to have that stuff in your washer, but not me!
Here is the post that I wrote about our experience: http://www.domesticadventure.com/2011/02/from-the-bottom-of-our-bottom/
I am having my 4th and final little one and figured that after 3 in diapers my carbon footprint was big enough and it was time to change to cloth for my final installment to the family. I have been getting soooo much crap from my family about this. Apparently they don’t care about baby penguins. Thank you for posting this because now I can show them that CD’ing is freaking awesome. That famous rockstar moms {aka MODG} do it, and I can too.
Recipe for home-made baby wipes (for reals – and they work awesome as make-up remover cloths!)
2 cups water
2 tbsp. baby oil
2 tbsp. baby shampoo
mix lightly in a resealable container.
Cut a roll of “good” paper towels in half so that you have two “mini” rolls. Put one half into the container and allow it to soak up the liquid mixture. Once the towels are moist, remove the cardboard tube in the middle and start using the wipes from the center.
Voila – cheaper (and compostable?) wipes.
awesome thank you saint.
MODG you’re most welcome
Elizabeth – You can use any large round container with a lid. I have a large round glass juice decanter with a lid with a spout (perfect for pulling wipes out!)
Love your blog! I just found it. I’m using BumGenius too. We have flannel wipes with the bum bottom spray. It works really well. It’s so easy to just throw the wipes in the pail too. We have had some leakers though. We have stripped them with dawn and double stuff (newborn and regular insert) the diapers which makes them really huge. One still leaked with double stuffing. I guess Alex is just a big pee’er!
What kind of container do you use?
we use wet bags that we can throw in the wash with the diapers.
I have a super crafty friend that makes her own cloth diapers… Its pretty amazing how well they work… I have a little sister who is 10 years younger… and well we were poor and needless to say I’m really really really glad the cloth diapers now don’t have the awful plastic cover! haha!
We use cloth diapers too- Fuzzi Bunz. We have only had our poop machine (breast milk poop) for 11 days, and our washing machine is ancient, but it works…I guess. BUt, I do want a new one. We put a spray thing on the side of our toilet to wash the poop off into the toilet first. I also use the spray thing to wash my hoo ha and ass after I pee and poop because My hoo ha hurts from birth, still. Its a win for everyone. I’m going to take your advice and just go throw a fit at the store so my husband buys a new washer though. Whenever he says no to me now, I Just push play on the dvd I leave in the DVR player- Its of MY BIRTH- I think he just needs that little reminder sometimes of what I did
I really want no video evidence of myself during labor, but I might have to reconsider for this reason. Genius.
For reals. I always said I will not allow a video camera within 100 yards of me during labor and delivery but man… this is money.
I want to cloth diaper. Hubby threw a fit. I would win that war, being the mom, but then my day care doesn’t support cloth diapering. Well, maybe support isn’t correct. They would make me pay more and even then it is no guarantee that one of the “teachers” would be able to cloth diaper correctly. Whatever.
Good for you. Baby penguins are cute, as if baby G
That’s bullshit of your daycare. That makes me mad.
Love this post! We CD our 4 month old and haven’t regretted a day of it! It’s not nearly as disgusting as people think & it saves money…. Unless you’re like me and become obsessed with cute diapers and can’t stop buying new ones!
Cloth diapers are awesome, and cheaper, and way less gross than collecting a big trash bag of poop in your garage for a week until trash day.
So yay for cloth, and yay for baby penguins!
p.s. When the little poop machine starts eating solid food, you can use flushable liners, which are also awesome and cheap.
Love bum Genius. love the sprayer. Love that baby #2 is on the way and our diapers are ready to rock and roll! High five to you for doing it, the penguins thank you
I never used the cloth diapers, but I wish I would have. I could have had so many new shoes with the money I spent on disposables! Any any excuse to get new appliances- you are a thinker!
Love men and seeing them try to figure out babies and what they worry about. (Reverse asshole? Hahahaha! I love that!)
oops, meant to type, And any excuse…
The hubs and I are totally planning to use cloth diapers when we have kids. Kind of odd that I’m on the bandwagon and don’t even have a chicklet yet. Oh well. GO CLOTH and GO MODG
I don’t know… it seems counterproductive to me somehow. On one hand, you’re not adding to landfills, and that’s definitely great. But on the other… three extra laundry cycles EVERY DAY (hot/cold/extra rinse), with the energy required to heat the first round, the detergent released in the wastewater, and the sheer volume of water being consumed… plus the energy for drying… even on the high-efficiency machines, it seems like a wash (terrible pun not intended).
Bottom (I’m on a roll!) line, I’m glad it’s working for you… but I think it’s definitely a case of “to each her own.”
I do agree, I thought about this. One of the major drivers was not using crazy chemicals on the baby…I wanted to have control over what went on his ass (cloth and super gentle detergents). The other major driver was saving money…which we do. Its just as much about the earth as it is about taking care of baby.
The manufacturing of sposies takes tons of energy, water and paper too.
Maybe it is a wash, maybe not.
So what about water treatment plants? It’s not like the water we use in our homes is ‘brand-new’ water. The water we use gets sent to water treatment plants, gets cleaned, sanitized and fluoridated like a billion times and gets sent right back to us. It’s not a perfect system and I’m sure you see an increase in your water bill but it’s definitely not on par with stuffing landfills with shit-filled diapers. Have you ever looked closely at a box of disposables? Even disposables say you’re supposed to shake solids into the toilet and I bet all I’ve got (which isn’t much) that about .03% of disposable-using parents do that.
So, yeah. Water usage or not, cloth diapers are still better for the environment. And baby penguins.
I use bum genius and I have enough to wash them every 3 days, I’m pretty sure that if you consider the energy to produce the disposable we are still winning…
I’m so glad you posted about this!! We are planning to cloth diaper our son who is due at the end of April, and I love hearing about people’s CDing systems/tricks. (Not something I EVER thought I’d say, but whatever) Some people have definitely been really snotty about it when I’ve told them, but I’m excited, even though it does mean putting poop in our washing machine. Go Team Hippie!
We use Bum Genius diapers too and love them! Two comments, make sure you are rinsing cold first or your diapers will get nasty stains (you probably already know that, but it sounded like you rinse hot first, or this could be once they have nasty toddler poop lol) Two: buy onesie extenders from One Step Ahead. They really work wonders! Yes, it is a pain to figure out which snaps match which, but totally worth it w/ cding. Welcome to the “I Save Baby Penguin Club. Its not for everyone, and thats okay”
yes we do cold first, typo. and I will look into the extenders!
i never ever ever post comments on the blogs of people i don’t know but this one was just too funny not to. i’m reading this for some stress relief at work and i damn near spit out my feta couscous all over the screen when i read the “double asshole” remark. thank you for inspiring me to keep it real when blogging. and thank you for making me laugh!
Cloth diapers totally rule!!! I do have one exception at my house and that’s at night, I’ve got a supper heavy wetter who sleeps 12 hours straight, IF he’s in a Huggies Overnight. Let’s be honest, nobody cares too much about penguins when the only reason they are up at 2 am is to change a wet diaper. That said, I love the cloth and my machine has a very useful sanitary setting which works like a charm.
hmm I may purchase some of these
There is a landfill close to my office, and we really suffer when the wind blows the wrong way. All I have to say is THANK YOU to all of you guys not putting feces on the curb every week.
We cloth diaper and it’s awesome and saves SO much money. You also don’t NEED a brand new, top-of-the-line washer and dryer (our 15 year old set works just fine) but if you can get your husband to cave on that, more power to ya!
I always wanted to cloth diaper, but I was always so scared of all the choices.
I did tons of research. it is very overwhelming. I found the best bets were either fuzzi bunz or bum genius. We went with the ones that adjusted as he grew so we didn’t have to buy new ones.
if any of your UK readers get this far in the comments then they should know you can get free started packs of cloth diapers, you just ring your local council for the vouchers from a particpating shop.
xx
We rent a stupid flat without a washer or dryer so this just wouldn’t work for us but I got a kit and gave it to a friend so she had spares
Also… is your PO Box real??? so I could really send stuff to you and you would get it?. {I realise that this sounds retarded- I’m just checking} x
Yes my po box is real but if you want to send something give me a heads up first so I actually go and check it
*starter packs
I cloth diaper my 18 month twins, but I didn’t start until they were ~10 months old because I hadn’t really thought about it before and didn’t realize how much cloth had changed. And then I became mildly (okay totally) obsessed with researching cloth in attempts to try to get rid constant rashes with my daughter. I am just now getting my daycare to agree to try cloth too. Hopefully it will work out because I am sick of buying disposables for school and really watching my money go down the drain when I know I have another option at home. We use the Flip system during the day and I am telling you that @ night (when drama baby really starts sleeping through the night) you need wool covers. They are AWESOME!!!! I love my sloomb ones. They are pricey but so worth it. My kids pee like racehorses and have them on for 12+ hours a night and wake up without a single leak ever!!!! Plus they are naturally antibacterial and waterproof.
I must have missed the memo about cloth diapered babies not having an issue with diaper rash. I wish I would have known because my son had awful diaper rash. Luckily he’s now 2.5 & potty trained but there was a lot of “airing out” we did.
This is really interesting because the biggest argument I have heard AGAINST cloth diapers is the amount of diaper rash they cause. Good to investigate.
You’re awesome! I tried cloth-diapering, and quickly gave up at the first sign of poop! It seemed really gross! I feel guilty about it, sometimes. Maybe with the next baby I’ll stick to it. I do recycle, use reusable bags, and have a compost bin, in which I put my toddler’s poop! In about 6 weeks it turns into good soil for my veggies!
So, I guess I’m still helping a bit. xD
Go mama!! We cloth diaper and it seems easy to me. Go through about 6 a day now that she’s older and we only have to wash every other day or every 3 days!! We use cloth wipes too but with just plain water and it is so easy and fab! I just love you more every time I read!!!
LOVE my cloth diapers. We hang ours out in the sun – much cheaper than the dryer. If you hung them over a clothes horse they’d be dry in about four hours. The main problem with rash is if they are not washed and rinsed properly. Also, make sure you use the correct detergent. Rockin’ Green is awesomeness. no smell left on them at all.
I just read all the comments so far and had to contribute.
My son has worn cloth diapers ever since he was born, with exception to the week following his circumcision, and the only time he ever had a rash was during that week of disposables.
We use the Flip diapers and really like them.
You rock MODG! I love that you are making “hippie” cool! I cannot wait to hear what other hippie things you do.
(I am the BIGGEST closet hippie. But you are making me see I just need to own it. ha!)
If I have another, I mean WHEN I have another baby….I am going to seriously consider cloth! There are sooo many diff. kinds out there to choose from! I just have to get past the poop washing part….what was your inital investment, if you don’t mind my asking? I’ve read that ppl spend about $500- but that’s all the diapers they’ll ever need. I’ve also read a little that some ppl have some special diaper genie type soaking thing, where they throw in the pail, and then wash them at the end of the end or whatever- but they soak all day long in detergent and water so you don’t really have to spray poop off yourself, or something. idk. But I def. cloth is finally catching on! I don’t think at this point I’ll switch Brynn over, bc her time in diapers is pretty limited at this point, but man, I wish I would’ve thought more about it while I pregnant!! Esp. bc her skin is sooooo sensitive, she has eczema, etc etc etc….I slather that child in powder & cream every diaper change….oh what I know now, that I wish I had known then…
We registered for them so we got a lot as gifts. But I think the out of pocket was about 2-300 up front.
Props to you on the cloth diapering thing! We didn’t cloth diaper from the get go, but we switched at about 10 months. I know that sound kinda late, but I figured better late than never.
A few things to think about that are both good for cloth diapers and good for your checkbook:
1. Consider line drying your diapers during the summer. The sun not only bleaches naturally and can whiten up your inserts, it ALSO disinfects and kills bacteria. Yes, it’s one more step to do, but it’s something that forces you go to outside every day/every other day.
2. There are lots of great natural detergents out there, OR you can make your own. Visit http://www.lazygreenmama.weebly.com. She doesn’t update like she used to (she just had baby number 2) but she has some great blogs about soapnuts (literally nuts you can use in place of detergent) and even has a blog about how to make your own cheap detergent so you don’t have to purchase it at the store AND you know exactly what chemicals are included. She’s a great resource for easy, cruncy, granola-ish ways to live “green”.
Just a few thoughts if you want to move even further into the green hippie world.
PS I’m another closet hippie. When I was younger, I thought all these things were gross, but after having my child, I’ve become more aware of the impact I have on the earth and have been overwhelmed by the idea to do my part to keep it as clean as possible for future generations.
PPS I know this is a tad bit early to bring this up, but you should consider making your own babyfood someday. First of all, it’s super easy. Second, it tastes better thant he jarred stuff (in my opinion). And third, it’s more environmentally conscious (not using tons and tons of glass jars). I’ve used the book First Meals by Anabel Karmel. Her big “tip” is to freeze your baby food in ice cube trays. It makes adjusting your baby’s meal size as he grows and eats more super easy, you just increase the number of ice cubes you defrost for each meal.
Anywho, you ROCK for being an out and proud hippie mom
We use Charlie’s soap…love it. And I will totally be making baby food. I can’t wait.
hey did you hear abt BREAST MILK ICECREAM??!!! they are for realz selling that shiz and if you google it there are tons of recipes FOR ADULTS. so, MODG, how hippie ARE YOU???
There’s a new cookbook that just came out called “The Baby And Toddler Cookbook” and it’s being sold at Williams Sonoma right now but should be available on Amazon in about a month. It’s written by a registered dietician and i’ve heard it rocks. I just ordered it myself but haven’t received it yet, so I can’t say from personal experience. Will update soon, as A will be starting solids in about a week when she hits 6 months. I have a gag reflex that will not allow me to get on board with the cloth diapering, but I do plan to try home-made baby food. And yes, modg, I still think that you and all of the other cloth diaperers here are saints.
Also, I love that idea about freezing the food in ice cube trays! Definitely gonna try that.
I already commented but…I’m curious…what laundry detergent do you use for your CD’s? PS Forgot to mention earlier I totally scored a new washer & dryer too since we’re using cloth with the next one. ^_^
Charlie’s. It’s great you can get it on amazon
I thought about doing cloth diapers in the beginning, but got way too overwhelmed by the choices. Thanks for doing the research for me. My son is 5 months now, and we may start after our stash runs out.
Two questions:
1. My son leaks his diaper EVERY night. We’ve tried double diapering, and it doesn’t work. How do you think cloth diapers would do? I read above about the Huggies Overnight…we may have to try those.
2. What do you do with all the nasty poo? If you don’t use the sprayer yet, what do you do when the diaper is full of that yuck breastmilk runny “seedy” mess? Does it go straight in the washer like that, or is there any kind of rinsing involved? My son ruins about one outfit per day with the “up the back” junk, so I love hearing that cloth diapers help with this.
he’s never leaked. The key is when you put them on, run your fingers through the leg holes and yank it up a little. The elastic on the legs and back is pretty tight so nothing can come out. Also the diapers are waterproof on the outside.
It may be gross, but the do go straight in the wash like that. But his poops are way watery.
One thing to point out on this one is that you’re only supposed to put the poop in the washing machine if your kiddo is fed breast milk. At least that’s what I read. Something like poop coming from breast milk is water soluble while formula poop is not.
Washing instructions on CDs can be uber confusing too. I think there needs to be a CD support group developed somewhere b/c while I love doing it, it can be overwhelming and confusing!
We love cloth diapering! I use a combo of bum genius and fuzzi bunz although I do the individual sized ones because I thought the one size fit all would give my baby back problems they were so huge (he’s on the skinny side). I don’t know what you do about wipes…we finally started using the cloth wipes and they are AMAZING. No separate trash, just throw them all in the wash and Kissaluvs has a good wipe solution. For the overnight problem…we double stuff using the hemp babies insert.
I don’t think I’ve ever commented before, but just wanted to say I love your blog. It always gives me a much needed laugh!
I have heard good things about the amber necklace…teething was a royal bitch with my first so I would love to hear more. Mine just started teething…eek. Please keep us updated.
First off, I LOVE your blog!!! Second, I also plan to cloth diaper. I’m due May 20th and my friend, Melissa turned me onto it. I work from home, so there’s really no reason why I can’t add this into my daily life. It’s always refreshing to hear that other women, like me, are doing the same. My mom CD’ed it with 4 children (all 2 yrs apart) and think about how ancient their CD’ing process was? Why can’t I do it with all the modern awesomeness of CD’s now? Anyways, thanks for this post!
PS- have you tried any other brand? I already have a supply of Gro Via and Fuzzi Bunz. They seem very similar to Bum Genius. Just curious why you chose Bum Genius as I want to keep all of my options open. Thanks!
MODG! Thanks for inspiring me to be more “hippie” like you. I was worried about discussing this with the husband because he’s a little like a girl about bodily functions. He was super on board with researching it and I think we are going to convert. Yay baby penguins.
I too am interested in how you settled on Bum Genius. I am investigating g diapers too.
We have an amber teething necklace for my son, I swear it helps!! I’ve also heard hazelwood necklaces help with reflux, might be worth a try!!
Oh and we also cloth diaper and love it!!
Third kid in the same cloth diapers here ~ keep having babies and you will pay off that beautiful washer and dryer no prob.
I use prefolds/covers on my newborns and then switch them to the BG’s and Happy Heineys and FB’s (love pockets). Love my cloth.
Even as an avid cloth lover, I totally second whoever said to use a sposie at night. Super convenient, no changing over the 12 hours my baby sleeps, and no horrid morning diaper stink in the AM, and only like one penguin might die. The weak one.
PS, another bonus to cloth ~ Kids who potty train earlier. Huge, huge deal. Because toddler shit is disgusting.
So, I gotta know, do you read the Young House Love blog? I mean, you guys have the same rug; your changing table it like theirs; you both use bum genius diapers; you both have the thing on the toilet…..I mean the similarities are endless! And if you aren’t reading their blog, then maybe you should. Maybe you and Sherry are long lost relatives. But don’t read about their kid, cause she is NOT a drama baby!
We had the whole cloth vs. disposable argument too. We were given a starter set of cloth diapers at our baby shower and we also got really good, earth-savvy disposables. After about a week, we gave up on cloth. I realize I’m drawing the judgment of every mommy who reads MODG, but it was just way too much work on top of being up every hour feeding our little man. Especially in the beginning, when you’re running on little-to-no sleep, I would constantly forget to make sure I had clean ones ready. So, we looked at buying a few more…it was going to be well over $400 to buy the cloth supplies we’d need to make it through the first year even. Pass.
So, I’m a terrible person and I use disposable. But we’ve spent about $.13 a diaper on disposables over the past 11 months, so we’re running at about $175 dollars total. I will use the $225 we saved on not buying cloth diapers (and the savings on wash cycles and detergent) and buy a penguin, which I will name Artemus.
PS
Mommy pro-tip: if you go to amazon.com/moms and sign up, you can save up to 30% for subscribing to orders of diapers, wipes and other baby essentials. You also get free 2 day shipping. We save 30% on all of our diapers, wipes, baby shampoo/wash, organic baby food, etc. They have a huge selection and they have some really great, organic products. You can save a bundle!
Just FTR, I spent $500 on all the diapers I needed, as well as supplies such as wetbags and whatnot. My third child is in them. They say that the average nationwide cost of disposable diapering a child from birth till 3 (when they train in paper diapers, on average, currently) ranges from $1,800 to $2,600 depending on brand, where you live, etc. I have three kids who have now used my same $500 diapers.
If they were too difficult for you that is one thing, but no matter how you slice it, unless you buy gold threaded cloth diapers and/or let a kid stay in the same sposie all day, the cost savings are irrefutable. You may not see them as quickly with just one baby (on average it takes 6-12 months to recoup your upfront cloth costs), but if you plan on having more than one, thousands of dollars will be saved. Thousands.
I use BumGeniuses as well… Also gDiapers (and sometimes do the disposable inserts). I’m very lucky that my daycare will work with me on this (and me bringing my own food). But I’m really commenting for two other reasons:
1. If you are interested in cloth diapering, you can look into a service that will let you try a bunch so you can decide which one(s) you like best — I think Jillian’s Drawers might be one of them. Also, you can purchase used ones on DiaperSwappers (though navigating the forums takes some time to get used to…).
2. I love my son’s amber teething necklace. We get loads of comments on it and sometimes funny faces when I explain what it is. He has gotten pretty used to it too, so much so that I think he wants to wear it (he doesn’t sleep with it on).
Bravo to you, and I’m glad you can use this forum to educate. I think people should do whatever they want, but not everyone has access to good information and influences…
Reverse asshole – that is a new one and I’m totally using that when I have babies! Hilarious!
Good for you – I really hope I can make this same kind of commitment – I like the idea of using less, paying less and saving more in the world! WELL DONE GIRL!
Modg,
Can you update us on the cloth diaper saga now that G eats real food and has real poop? We’re a bumgenius family too and I’m scared about the transition and the inconvenience of getting the poop out!
Xo
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned on here is cloth diapering services. I live in Las Vegas, and my friend uses a company who delivers a clean set of cloth diapers to your house every week and takes away your dirty diapers and washes them for you. Instead of start-up costs, you pay a weekly fee. It doesnt save as much money as washing them yourself, but it’s the perfect solution for someone who wants to use cloth but doesn’t have the time or the stomach.
